A specialized training session titled "Issues in Administering Justice on Sexual Violence Cases" was organized for public attorneys and psychologists from the Legal Aid Service, with backing from UN Women, UNFPA, and the European Union.
Led by legal expert Goga Khatiashvili and psychologist Keti Tavartkiladze, the workshop explored the core concepts of sexual violence and its gender dimensions as outlined in the Istanbul Convention.
The program focused on victim-centered strategies and aligning Georgian law with international legislative standards. Ultimately, the initiative aimed to elevate the participants' expertise in international human rights and criminal law while integrating global best practices into sexual violence casework.
