On May 22, the head of the Zugdidi Legal Aid Bureau, Roman Keidia, and specialist Gela Pertia, held a meeting with senior students of the Public School in the village of Orsantia, Zugdidi Municipality. The goal of the meeting was to promote legal awareness among adolescents, to prevent crime, and create a safe environment.
The lawyers gave the students comprehensive information about the Legal Aid Service (LAS) through the special presentation. They also covered the fundamentals of crime, including what constitutes a crime, its various forms, a minor's criminal liability, what falls under the minor's rights, diversion-mediation, and administrative offences. The guests discussed drug offences, domestic violence, women's mistreatment, bullying, and discrimination.
The meeting was concluded with a question-and-answer session.
