In October 9, the Director of the Legal Aid Service, David Simonia, and the Deputy Minister of Defense, Grigol Giorgadze, signed a memorandum of cooperation. Its goals are to promote the raising of legal awareness of military personnel; to increase the availability of LAS services for persons participating in peacekeeping missions and to conduct research and training on legal needs for this purpose. Both agencies will carry out a variety of efforts and initiatives , including informational campaigns, panel discussions, conferences, etc. to advance gender equality and to accomplish the objectives of the current agreement.
