A training titled "A Child-Victim and Witness of Crime and Violence" was held for the attorneys

A training titled "A Child-Victim and Witness of Crime and Violence" was held for the attorneys working in the Legal Aid Service offices in Eastern Georgia from November 3–5, 2022. The training was conducted as part of the project, "Improving the Capacity of Criminal Law Professionals through the Effective Use of Child-Friendly Justice Approaches Toward Child Victims and Witnesses of Crime," funded by the United Nations Children's Fund and the European Union. Ketevan Davitishvili, Tinatin Bandzeladze, Tamar Gigitashvili, and Davit Simonia, four experts in the field, concentrated on a variety of topics during the training, including: procedural aspects of implementing legal protection related to child witnesses and victims of crime; Characteristics, abilities, and limitations of the child's development;Vulnerable and special needs children; child-friendly justice; interview/survey planning; Questions for a successful survey; National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) Structured Protocol for Investigative Interviewing/Survey. It should be noted that on November 10–12 of this year, the aforementioned training was also offered to the legal staff of the Bureaus of Western Georgia. The Service actively continues to train employees in the mentioned direction.
