The second stream of paralegal applicants was registered in Batumi

On October 21, at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University a meeting was held with students as part of the "Make the Law Accessible for All" movement and gave them an overview of the "Paralegal" project of the Legal Aid Service. The project was introduced by the Director of the Legal Aid Service, Razhden Kuprashvili. After the meeting, the students wishing to enroll in the paralegal register of the Legal Aid Service signed up for the paralegal selection competition. After completing the training program outlined by the Service, paralegals will have the option to engage in outreach sessions, and with the Service attorneys to enlighten the public about current legal issues, and provide advice on matters of interest to them. We would note, that paralegals are non-lawyers who, after completing the necessary training, provide primary legal consultation to the general public. This is crucial for increasing societal legal awareness and ensuring that everyone has effective access to justice. The project is supported by USAID Rule of Law Program.
