Legal Aid Consulting Center was opened in Chkhorotsku

On September 23, 2020 the consulting center of the Legal Aid Service has been opened in Chkhorotsku (Agmashenebeli Str. N1), where any person will be available to receive legal advice on ant legal issue.

Chkhorotsku local assembly allocated the necessary space for the center and transferred it to the Legal Aid Service with the support of the City Council.
One legal consultant will be working in the consulting center and will give legal advice on various issues. Among them: the rights of the socially vulnerable and IDPs, banking relations, land and real estate registration, inheritance, labor disputes, violence against women and domestic violence, appointments of the supporter and other problematic issues.

The official opening of the consulting center was held in response to the restrictions imposed due to the pandemic. At the meeting with the population, the director of the Legal Aid Service, Razhden Kuprashvili, introduced the services of the Legal Aid Service to the local population, and talked about several important legal issues for the region.

The meeting was held within the framework of the UN Security Council resolutions on women, peace and security of the National Action Plan of Georgia 2018-2020 and the presentation was about the property registration, which was attended by the IDPs, the women and girls affected by the conflict.
Nowadays, there are 13 legal aid bureaus and 22 consulting centers across the country.
