300 Delegates from 67 States Will Attend International Legal Aid Conference

Last stage preparatory works for International Legal Aid Conference are being done in the Hotel Biltmore. Special information stand is organized inside Tbilisi International Airport. Hundreds of guests from 67 countries, including ministers of justice, judges, public defenders, will receive information regarding the conference as well as any logistical information. The information stand will be organized inside the Hotel Biltmore too where the media representatives will get the information they need. Comments will be made at the special banner. 

Registration stand will be set up in the lobby of the Biltmore Hotel. The registration of the conference participants will start at 8 am on November 13. The chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze will open the conference at 9 am. The moderator of the opening session of the conference will be the director of Legal Aid Service Meliton Benidze.

Special speeches will be made by: Ms. Louisa Vinton, UN Resident Coordinator, UNDP Resident Representative, Mr. Peter A. Wiebler, Mission Director, USAID Caucasus, U.S. Agency for International Development, Mr. Cristian Urse, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Georgia, Ms. Keti Khutsishvili, Executive Director, Open Society Georgia Foundation, Ms. Jennifer Smith, Executive Director, The International Legal Foundation, Mr. Meliton Benidze, director of Legal Aid Service, Mr. Mikheil Sarjveladze, first Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia. 

The organizers of the conference are the Parliament of Georgia and Legal Aid Service of Georgia, ILF, OSJI, UNDP, UNODC, EU, CoE, OSGF, UNICEF, USAID financed EWMI project PROLoG.
