Mobile counseling center arrives in Kvareli villages

The Mobile Consulting Center's services were utilised on September 17 by the ethnic minority-inhabited villages of Akhalsopeli, Balghojiani, Chantliskure, and Satskhene.

Local residents were informed about Georgia's free legal aid and the LAS current services by Alexi Tusniashvili, a lawyer from the Telavi Legal Aid Bureau. Booklets with information were given out to the audience.

With the assistance of the Centre, the public attorney was able to  offer legal advice to the citizens of the aforementioned Kvareli Municipality villages. The rules pertaining to land plot registration, inheritance, gaining Georgian citizenship, banking problems or family disputes, labour relations, designating a supporter, and other legal matters of public interest were also topics of discussion.

With the support of the Consulting Centre the attorneys from the Telavi Legal Aid Bureau will go to towns and villages in the Telavi Bureau's service coverage area in September to offer interested individuals  one-on-one legal consultations

The Legal Aid Service Mobile Consultation Center is organized with the support of the United Nations Development Program and the German Government.
