Mobile counseling center arrives in Ruispiri, Karajala and Vardisubani

On August 15, the Legal Aid Service  (LAS) Mobile Consulting Center arrived in Telavi Municipality. As is known, the Mobile Consulting Center is a specially equipped minivan, offering a possibility  to prepare legal documents and provide individual legal consultations  while maintaining confidentiality. The minivan was purchased with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the German Embassy in Georgia.

In the same day, the population of the villages of Rusipiri, Karajala (the village of ethnic minority)  and Vardisubani of Telavi Municipality benefited from the Consulting Center services. Before the consultations, Mikheil Khurtsidze, Deputy Director of the Legal Aid Service, Maia Nozadze, Head of the Information, Analytics and International Relations Department, and Liana Chuniashvili, Head of  Telavi Legal Aid Bureau, provided the local population with information about the free legal aid system operating in Georgia and the LAS services.

Attorneys Tamar Batselashvili and Alexi Tusniashvili, with the assistance of the Center, provided legal consultations to residents of the aforementioned villages. It is noteworthy, that  through  August and September, attorneys  from  Telavi Legal Aid Bureau will visit the villages and towns within their operational area and, with the involvement  of the Center, will provide individual legal consultations to all interested persons.
