On March 20, the LAS director – Meliton Benidze presented the 2017 annual report of the Service before the Human Rights Committee of the Parliament of Georgia.
The presentation included general information on the state organization providing free legal assistance, as well as, all the activities implemented by the state organization through the year 2017. Moreover, statistical data, information on the expansion of the Service mandate, infrastructure and future challenges were also discussed while presenting the report.
The representatives of the Public Defender and NGO field attended the hearing of the annual document. The presentation was followed by the discussion.
